Amanda and Drew looked all over the U.S. for the perfect wedding venue. When they decided on a venue it was one of The best wedding venues in Frankfort ky. (in my opinion!) They Found the capital at Elkhorn Creek and fell in love with the estate and all it had to offer. Having smaller 50 person wedding with only family members and close friends in attendance. The perfectly manicured grounds going into a creek made the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. And the estate made a perfect backdrop with them walking down the aisle.
During their couples session we explored the creek area, the exterior of the estate and the golf course to get some privacy from guests right after they got married. When I am shooting weddings I try to always give my couples alone time and take a step back for a few minutes to let them soak it all in. It’s not my job to always be in your face. It’s my job to know when to step back to give you a moment to breath.
Friday night before their wedding they had someone come to the estate and do a Bourbon tasting. Most of their bridal party and family didn’t live in Kentucky. Making it the best way to introduce Kentucky and it’s bourbon to them! I dont know about you, but to me the best wedding venues in Frankfort ky involve some Bourbon and good friends.
Another reason this is one of the best wedding venues in Frankfort Ky is the massive pool! They rented the estate out for the weekend and stayed with the bridal party. On the Sunday after their wedding they threw a huge pool party. This was a great way to spend more time with their loved ones who came into town that they do not see often.
Altogether the entire day was filled with beauty and so much love between everyone, I am so thankful to have been able to have photographed and filmed their wedding day.
